Full Job Description

As an autonomous practitioner, to assess and treat a caseload of outpatients, who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, and to determine a diagnosis and develop treatment programmes without direct supervision from senior staff., To support Band 7 and clinical team leaders in outpatient staff in theplanning and organisation of the physiotherapy team activities andprogrammes.To be responsible for teaching, supervision and appraisal of recently qualified physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, and undergraduate students.To undertake evidence-based practice, and participate in departmentalresearch and audit.To adhere to departmental protocols, Trust policies and the CharteredSociety of Physiotherapy Code of Conduct or the General OsteopathicCouncil's Osteopathic Practice Standards, and national standards, where they exist.To actively promote and develop equality and diversity practices and strategic management in this area in order to promote equity of access of care for patients and equity of access to job opportunities and development opportunities for staff.
