Senior Multi-Product Garment Technologist

As Senior Multi-Product Garment Technologist, you will be at the forefront of innovation, redefining technical specifications and setting new industry standards. Utilising your expertise, you will ensure our garments not only meet the highest quality standards but also lead in fit, comfort, and performance for our Snaggler community., Snag is mostly a remote working company, but your direct team members will be in our design studio in East London - Mirror Works Stratford, approximately a 2-minute walk from Pudding Mill Lane DLR station. You will work from there a minimum of 3 days a week and you'll work directly within the Technical department and with the Design and Development team in person. We also have an office in Istanbul and warehouses around the world that you will liaise with at times. You'll report to the Fit & Quality Manager/ Chief Product Officer.
You must be eligible to work in the UK.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Drive fit sessions with a focus on pushing the boundaries of garment comfort and functionality.


• Accurately record fit comments, annotate them for clarity and ensure seamless communication with suppliers.


• Measuring and quality-checking products where necessary.


• Carrying out ad hoc AQL and quality checks when necessary.


• Assisting with approval of shipment samples, ensuring to maintain agreed fit and quality level against sealed Pre-Production samples.


• Creating initial specifications for new products.


• Carrying out model measuring and bookings and managing booking trackers, with the help of our wider team.


• Approval of AQL reports and follow-up communications with the supplier base.


• Approval of test reports and follow-up communications with the supplier base.


• Support in updating internal documents and manuals, including grading and sizing work.


• Support in the creation of internal processes and documents including manuals, grading and process documents.


• Liaising with the Product Development team to ensure timely completion of tasks and to support where needed.


• Clear communication with the supplier base via email and VC.

• Highly organised with great attention to detail.


• A working knowledge of grade fitting, and amending graded specs based on fitting data, in accordance with Snag's ways of working.


• The ability to think outside the box and find solutions to problems/ identify opportunities for improvement or innovation.


• Accurate measuring skills.


• Fitting knowledge and experience attended and running fit sessions, including experience in grade fitting.


• Understanding of garments, patterns, construction of fabrics, seaming and trims.


• Understanding of pattern amendments, fixing fit issues and identifying problems.


• Fabric knowledge, and experience working with different fabrications.


• Experience in reading test reports and certificates.


• Experience in working with and maintaining the company's critical path.


• Good working knowledge of Excel /PLM and fit workbooks.


• Great communication skills.


• Proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.


• Experience processing intimates garments at Senior Technologist level as a minimum - Plus size and Fuller Bust experience is ideal.


• A working knowledge of international compliance and standards


• A working understanding of sustainable fabric and fibres, certification and labelling.


• A working knowledge of product and labelling compliance in the global marketplace.


• Experience in measuring models, including Plus size.


• Experience in carrying out AQL and quality checks and reviewing AQL reports.


• Experience working with an international supply base.


Desirable, but not mandatory:

• Other Womenswear, Menswear, and Unisex clothing experiences.


• Experience with lingerie & swimwear products, adaptive wear/mastectomy bras, nursing bras and any other specialist product.
