Full Job Description

The Senior Neonatal nurse will be expected to perform all aspects of Neonatal care within the neonatal setting. To assist in the planning implementation and delivery of care and accept delegated responsibility from senior staff.

  • Care of the sick and preterm newborns .
  • Plan and implement care and be able to manage own workload.
  • To attend relevant clinical and unit meetings, as appropriate.
  • To be aware of the Trust's discipline and grievance procedures.
  • To ensure economical use of ward stocks and inform senior staff of any shortages.
  • To be responsible for the proper use and maintenance of all equipment.
  • To monitor and adhere to the Duchess of Westminster Wing Security Policy.

    If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 month. As this vacancy is within the division of Women's and Children's, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust.
