Full Job Description

As a Senior Reporter on the Home News team, you'll be responsible for covering a variety of stories to assist the Telegraph news team in its day-to-day coverage both in print and online.,

  • Report on breaking news stories.
  • Generating and seeking out news stories
  • Writing news stories across a variety of subject areas.
  • Presenting story ideas to the News Editor.
  • Working across different publishing platforms, including the newspaper and the website.
  • Maximising digital engagement and contributing towards the subscription strategy.

    Experience of working in news at regional, national or international level.
  • Experience of breaking news stories.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Willing to travel at short notice.
  • Familiarity with and experience of digital storytelling techniques. (Desirable)
  • Have a good working understanding of social media channels. (Desirable)
