Full Job Description
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) is accepting applications for the position of Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the Nuclear Medicine division.
Our facilities operate three gamma cameras, including two GE 870-DR SPECT/CT systems, two DEXA scanners and a fully equipped Radiopharmacy unit.
You will be an experienced technologist with the initiative and expertise to help enhance the services we offer to our patients. The selected individuals will receive ongoing professional development opportunities in a friendly setting.
You will be required to rotate between all of our sites, including Kent & Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury, William Harvey Hospital in Ashford and Buckland Hospital in Dover., This position is extremely patient focused and the department undertakes a wide range of imaging, non-imaging and therapeutic procedures, carrying out more than 10,000 investigations annually.
The post involves rotation through all areas of Nuclear Medicine, DEXA and Radiopharmacy. This will be guided by senior colleagues, protocols and local rules to enable the provision of a timely and high quality Nuclear Medicine & Osteoporosis Service across East Kent.
By setting a positive example for your team and actively supervising less experienced colleagues, you will urge everyone to uphold the highest professional and technical standards.
We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference'.
We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
