Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Nurse Manager to join the South Devon leadership team in Torbay.

The successful applicant will be an innovative and compassionate leader, who will support and lead our Urgent & Inpatient teams to deliver individualised, person-centered care and make a positive contribution to service development.

You will join a rich multi-disciplinary team which includes Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Peer Support Workers and Support Workers. We are also proud of our positive working relationships with our community services., Working as part of the Urgent & Inpatient Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the day to day operational management and leadership of the following services:

  • Haytor acute ward (16 beds)

  • Salus acute ward (16 beds)

  • Torbay & Teignmouth Home Treatment Team's

  • Night Nurse Practitioner Service


  • You will support these teams to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care to people who require support and treatment in relation to their mental health. Alongside the Operational Manager and Clinical Team Leaders, you will play a key part in ensuring that our services are a positive place to work and receive care.
