Full Job Description
Brambles Nursery are looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join an established family run business.
The nursery is Managed by two highly qualified and experienced Managers who will offer all training needed to enhance your own skills and knowledge. We aim to build a strong staff team that will support our children and families through their time in Early Years and offer the best opportunities for everyone in our care.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
+ To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
+ To ensure the nursery environment is safe for children, staff and others.
+ To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child s development.
+ To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers.
+ To be enthusiastic, fun and engaging with children to promote excellent learning opportunities.
+ To ensure a welcoming environment to meet the needs of individual children with having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
+ To assist in leading the team, ensuring that duties are delegated accordingly.
+ Support with opening and closing of the nursery.
What we need from you?
+ Passion and commitment for working in childcare.
+ Experience of leading a team.
+ A proactive, positive, and nurturing approach to working with young children.
+ Have sound knowledge of EYFS.
+ Minimum NVQ level 3, or Level 5 Early Years Senior Practitioner
+ Ability to work shifts
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support a team.
Safeguarding is of utmost importance and we pride ourselves in ensuring our children and families are safe and offered support where needed. Therefore, good safeguarding knowledge is essential but regular updated training will be provided.
All applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of this will be covered by Brambles Day Nursery. All applicants are required to subscribe to the DBS Update service and maintain the annual fee of £13.00.
