Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our multidisciplinary Team within the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

We have secured a new operational service based at Winwick, Warrington and satellite units in Sefton / Knowsley & Liverpool areas to support delivery of the service across the Trust footprint. We will also support opportunities for hybrid working in line with operational demands.

We are looking for experienced occupational health nurses (SCPHN-OH).

We will consider individuals with Occupational Health experience who have completed the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing - Occupational Health Degree, level 7. If you require further information please contact the named person on the advert for more information.

If you are pro-active, dynamic, and motivated to support the development of the service, this job is for you!, The role involves, case/sickness absence management, pre-placement health assessments, immunisations/vaccinations/phlebotomy, health surveillance and medical assessments.

In addition to the Trust, you will be required to provide an expert and reliable Occupational Health Service to other paying private organisations, including other NHS employers and private companies/businesses.

The service uses Civica Occupational Health (OPAS-G2) software which supports all clinical functions.

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

At the heart of all we do is our commitment to 'perfect care' - care that is safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient. We support our staff to do the best job they can and work alongside service users, their families, and carers to design and develop future services together. We're currently delivering a programme of organisational and service transformation to significantly improve the quality of the services we provide and safely reduce cost as we do so.
