Full Job Description
The team is an integrated Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy team. Work within this post provides an ideal opportunity to develop skills in stroke and neuro assessment and early rehabilitation, supervision of junior staff/students and positive influence on patient care and service development.
Are you a motivated, forward thinking Occupational Therapist? Do you have a keen interest in Stroke and Neurological assessment and rehabilitation? Would you enjoy furthering your experience & expertise in an acute setting? Do you want to receive the training and support to achieve this? If so, this could be the post for you!, The successful applicant will be required to provide neurological skilled Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to clients with complex neurological problems, including assessment, acute rehabilitation, discharge planning and appropriate onward referral. We are looking for an innovative Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop their skills at a senior level, who can demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to implement evidence-based practice.,
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Post-graduate experience of working with adults with neurological impairments
- Involvement in supervision and/or appraisal of junior staff
- Car owner/driver
