Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified pharmacy technician to join our friendly and enthusiastic pharmacy team working on a rotational basis throughout the department. This will be a Band 4 to 5 progression role.
This is an ideal post for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated technician with excellent interpersonal skills.
The role will include;
+ Working in our technician led dispensary.
+ Supporting the Specialist Medicines Management team within Oncology across our inpatient and day case units.
+ Undertaking medicines production within our aseptic unit at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
+ Performing final accuracy checking where accredited to do so.
You will also play a key role in the support and development of pharmacy assistants and trainee technicians.

You will be someone who understands the importance of the Pharmacy Technician role within Pharmacy, who is passionate about; Pharmacy, Healthcare, providing patient centre care and upholding the GPhC professional standards.
Our core working hours are 08:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the voluntary bank holiday services.
You will be a professionally qualified Pharmacy Technician holding either the BTEC or NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services; and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and be a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT).
