Full Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Operational Resilience Manager to lead our Operational Resilience team, defining and delivering the Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management and Operational Continuity in Resolution frameworks and supporting work programmes. You'll report into our Head of Security, Resilience & Technology Risk and will work closely with business stakeholders to promote, strengthen and embed a culture of Operational Resilience.,

  • Lead the Operational Resilience team and support senior stakeholders on the effective and timely delivery of an Operational Resilience (OR) framework and work plan which is aligned to our strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Provides Operational Resilience Team management including prioritisation of work. Also, part of the Security, Resilience and Technology Risk Leadership team, taking an active part in leadership activities across the department.
  • Preparation and presentation of governance and regulatory papers and updates as required for relevant committees.
  • Ensure Operational Resilience and OCIR regulatory publications, policy, rules and guidance are reviewed, interpreted and effectively incorporated into our strategy and work plans.
  • Sets the Business Continuity Management framework to include Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Planning and Testing activities.
  • Sets the Incident Response framework ensuring effective coordination of crisis management and response & recovery actions during business interruptions to ensure the continuation of critical services.
  • Provides support for Incident Response activities as required, including leading the Business Response Team when required during tests and real scenarios.
  • Ensures the end-to-end procurement and supplier life cycle is followed for all third parties supporting Operational Resilience activities, with supplier relationships appropriately managed.
  • Operational Resilience and Business Continuity requirements and assurance activities are clearly defined and embedded in Change and Supplier Management processes.

    Demonstrable experience of leading and managing performance of an Operational Resilience or equivalent team.
  • Experience of Business Continuity Management frameworks and Incident Response/Crisis Management.
  • Knowledge of Operational Resilience regulatory requirements and how they are applied in a Financial Services context.
  • Knowledge of Operational Continuity in Resolution (OCIR) regulatory requirements to support the OCIR Barrier Lead in achieving our Resolvability obligations.
  • Ability to lead/co-ordinate and prioritise multi-faceted workloads.
  • Proven ability in identifying and documenting risks and the design and/ or recommendation of appropriate controls for Operational Resilience within an appropriate framework.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret wide ranging information, identifying recommendations with thought leadership.
  • Ability to engage, influence and work in partnership with senior stakeholders, including peers (internal and external, SLT, ExCo and our Regulators).
