Senior Ophthalmic Photographer

The purpose of this role is the production of diagnostic and follow-up images, on a variety of modalities, to the highest possible standard. As a Band 6 photographer the post holder will be required to make critical judgements about how best to produce the appropriate images for the benefit of the clinical staff and patients, based on a good understanding of the anatomy of the eye and common Ophthalmic conditions. He/she will always be mindful of the patients being imaged and be aware of any physical constraints and how they may be overcome. Participation in clinical trials, under the guidance of the lead research photographer, will necessitate certifications with the various clinical trial reading centres. To support in providing a professional, cost effective, efficient clinical and nonclinical photographic service using digital technologies to service the Trusts three sites.
