Senior Orthodontic Dental Technician

To provide high quality advanced work of a complex nature within the Orthodontics laboratory. The post holder will be responsible for developing own skills and knowledge within dental technology. Will be required to move between departments when requested., Comply with the department's standard procedures and conformity of custom-made dental appliances under the European medical devices directive.

Assess individual units of work for possible clinical/technical complications and discuss ways and means of overcoming them with relevant clinicians.

Advise and assist less experienced dental technicians, graduates and clinicians on technical/clinical problems relating to treatment planning which will often require consultations on clinic where patient's wishes and expectations are expressed.
