NOV ISE is looking for a Senior Outsourcing Manager to join their team based in Gateshead. NOV ISE Manufacturing & Supply Chain is a critical subsidiary of National Oilwell Varco Int. (NOV), delivering strategic outsourcing solutions across global manufacturing sites. The Senior Outsourcing & Vendor Development Manager role is pivotal in driving transformative supply chain strategies, optimizing vendor relationships, and enhancing operational efficiency across our international manufacturing footprint. This position will be instrumental in developing sophisticated outsourcing methodologies, implementing innovative technological solutions, and creating robust, flexible supply networks that support NOV ISE's ambitious growth and operational excellence objectives. The successful candidate will lead critical initiatives to expand supply chain resilience, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement in vendor performance and product sourcing strategies., OUTSOURCED VENDOR DEVELOPMENT
- Transition the onsite team from onsite item inspection to auditing vendor processes
- Transition the onsite team from onsite item inspection to development of vendor manufacturing methods, transfer tribal knowledge with the goal of reducing item cost and improving quality of supply
- Transition the business from conducting vendor supplied document checking by developing a G-AI document scanning tool and associated business process
- Develop 3D item scanning technology which can be utilised by the vendor and internal inspections teams.
- Establish Inspection standards which can be applied by the vendor and internal inspection to ensure consistency of item verification PRODUCT OUTSOURCING
- Own and drive 'Project 10' to transition the Anson product line to facilitate a supply environment which can assist in doubling the output volume
- Own 909 ETO item sourcing and coordination supply
- Find and develop outsource supply redundancy to ensure 80% of volume parts have 2 or more proven and cost-effective supply routes
- Drive a project cleanse out all old/outstanding problematic 'non-sourced' products
- Coordinate the incremental transition of single site supply (Kintore), to dual site supply (Kintore and Dubai) during 2025, moving to tiple site supply including KSA for 2026.Identify risks in the current supply chain and put in place solutions to eliminate or mitigate these risks. GENERAL
- Support engineering on product changes and new product introductions.
- Collate and analyse data related to outsourced product across ISE sites.
- Provide thought leadership on all Supply Chain problem solving and future outsource strategy setting.
- Visit locations to ensure expectations are being met while using visits as opportunities to train and develop staff.
- Review industry technology trends related to outsourcing.
- Continually review all respective departmental procedures, practices, and processes to achieve optimum levels of efficiency.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Address staff morale/motivation issues and highlight areas of potential problems.
- Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by your supervisor
- Travel when required both domestically and internationally to support the goals of the business or project., Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or related discipline. Desirable
- MBA or related advanced degree preferred EXPERIENCE Essential
- Working knowledge of purchasing technical products including contract negotiation/administration, product design and manufacture, supply chain management, budget preparation and cost control. Desirable
- Demonstrated ability to deliver cost reduction and operational performance results.
- Extensive ERP (MRP/APS) systems experience SKILLS, TRAINING OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE Essential
- Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
- Familiarity with ERP systems
