Full Job Description

In light of Maternity cover, we're offering an opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join the Audiology Team at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop your experience in complex and advanced Paediatric Audiology in a unique setting. You will be carrying out general Audiology and be exposed and trained to do complex assessment processes such as APD, BAHA, Microsuction, Vestibular and Electrophysiological testing (in line with service need). The department has close links to the Cochlear Implant team and there may be an opportunity for exposure.

There may also be an opportunity to see private patients as part of the department rotation for Senior Audiologists (service requirement permitting). There will be many opportunities to learn with the unique patient population found here alongside excellent CPD opportunities (Internal & External)., You will be expected to oversee the management or act as POC for a clinical area in conjunction with the Band 8's alongside line management responsibilities. Research and project management is desirable with several active studies running. You will need a minimum of a BSc in Audiology or equivalent. You must also be HCPC/RCCP registered and have post qualification paediatric experience. It is an exciting time to be joining the Audiology team at GOSH with the new Sight and Sound Centre having opened in Central London.

GOSH is committed to recruiting the best person for the job, based solely on their ability and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the role; through a process that is fair, open, consistent and free from bias and discrimination.
