Full Job Description

+ To provide an effective and efficient physiotherapy service including assessing, treating, prioritising, and delegating the changing workload within the designated area
+ To improve paediatric skills and knowledge by rotating through the various specialty areas.
+ To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work including the management of complex patients requiring specialist paediatric physiotherapy intervention
+ To provide effective and efficient physiotherapy interventions in accordance with clinical guidelines and Trust policies and procedures
+ To participate in audit/research to promote quality standards and evidence-based practice
+ To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients, using investigative and analytical skills and to plan, implement and evaluate individualised physiotherapy intervention
+ To keep up to date with clinical and professional issues and undertake training and development activities to maintain competence to practice
+ To manage, supervise, train and support others
+ To participate in the emergency on-call, weekend, and evening service to provide 24-hour cover (involves working unsupervised)
The successful candidate will also be required to participate in the emergency out-of-hours respiratory rota and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of an evolving and exciting service.

We are seeking enthusiastic physiotherapists to join our friendly and motivated team. These posts are suitable for physiotherapists with broad based post-graduate experience ideally including paediatrics and respiratory care. We offer opportunities to consolidate your existing skills and extend your knowledge by working alongside Advanced Physiotherapist's in a wide variety of areas.
Rotations are currently 9 monthly and may include PICU, Neurosciences, Respiratory/CF, Cardiothoracics, Musculoskeletal, Burns, Orthopaedics, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Livers, Oncology, General Paediatrics, Community and Special Schools.
The post holder will gain extensive experience and skills in assessing, treating, and managing a caseload of children with a variety of conditions. There will also be opportunities to actively participate in service development, leadership, audit, and research. Clinical supervision and teaching will be an integral part of the role. In addition, you will participate in a comprehensive supportive in-service training programme and individual annual performance review scheme. The successful candidate will also be required to participate in the emergency out of hours rota.
