Full Job Description

The post holder will work in the in patient and outpatient pelvic health service at Wythenshawe and the outpatient service at Trafford hospital. We are looking to provide a single hospital service and on occasion you may be required to cover other sites including saint Mary's and North Manchester hospital. Applicants are required to have previous pelvic health experience and aim to advancing these skills.The post offers excellent facilities and support for continued professional development. The successful applicant can be assured of supervision, training and development within a supportive team, as well as opportunities to develop research ideas and attend academic and clinical meetings. It is the ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their clinical skills whilst being able to contribute to clinical effectiveness within the Trust. A flexible attitude, excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential. The service accepts patients l which will accepts referrals from secondary care specialties such as orthopaedics, hand therapy, pain, pelvic health and rheumatology. . The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of patients with pelvic health problems, and deliver a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy. There are opportunities to experience running pelvic girdle pain group as well as seeing patients in a clinic environment.

  • Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management of patients with pelvic health presentations
  • Supervision of less experienced staff, example B5's
  • Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists
  • Service development projects, such as audit and quality improvement programmes
  • Participate in weekend Saturday rota
