Full Job Description

Our team is evolving - we are looking for a creative, curious and commercially orientated Senior People Partner to support a period of transformation at Warner Music Group, as our group-wide operating model evolves and we embed our new company vision and values. This is a generalist role, operating as a Senior People Partner to designated client groups with a need to liaise with multiple stakeholders internationally to support their global teams based in London. You will provide support on operational issues, effectuating the delivery of people strategies and transformation initiatives, informing and challenging senior management thinking and partnering with specialist teams. Your cultural curiosity will yield great ideas and pragmatic ways to deliver and enhance the employee experience.,

  • Provide excellent business partnering in terms of day to day advice and support for senior leaders and managers, many of which sit in territories outside the UK with team members you will support in London
  • Develop a good working relationship with business managers within designated local and global client groups; understand their priorities and objectives
  • Advise and influence stakeholders on issues related to workforce planning, organisational design, restructuring implementation and talent planning
  • In conjunction with department heads, plan, action and deliver restructures, including the management of any redundancy consultation in accordance with commercial and legal requirements. Partner with Corporate Communication and Global People Partners if required
  • Manage employee relations issues both informal and formal with the business; make recommendations for the best approach in handling and managing
  • Update colleagues across the function, locally and internationally, about business developments to aid their understanding of what is taking place in the business
  • Manage and advise on policy, process and employment law, and where required input on any policy change
  • Work with people managers to manage performance management processes, grievance, disciplinary, and change management
  • Support business leaders in dealing with any short and long term absence issues; from advising on policy to workforce planning
  • Collaborate with the wider People team to successfully deliver programs, initiatives and cycles, eg, Performance Review, Year End Merit & Bonus, Budgeting, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Data & Analytics, Compliance, Wellness etc
  • In partnership with global partnering leads, manage the local high potential (Hi-Po) and succession planning process to create a view of top talent and development plans, accurately recording data

    Demonstrate experience of working in a rapidly changing environment that is highly matrixed and going through a period of global and local transformation
  • Maintain a high tolerance of ambiguity, resilience and offer a flexible approach
  • Apply critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills to cut through complexity
  • Demonstrate a data driven approach - you are highly analytical and able to draw insight from data and use/promote technology enablement
  • Advocate the talent agenda and act as a culture champion
  • Demonstrable experience of relevant HR disciplines/activities including, but not limited to, talent management & development, performance management, discipline & grievance, change management, restructuring and redundancy
  • Adept at working autonomously with designated client groups and of working closely day to day with senior management, coaching where appropriate
  • Good knowledge of employment law and strong previous experience of applying knowledge when providing day to day advice
  • Experienced line manager with the ability to guide, support, and mentor
  • Project management and delivery capabilities in a fast-pace environment
  • Culturally curious, inquisitive networkers who leverage insight from the external world and keep abreast of trends in the market
  • Proven track record in generalist advisory/manager role
  • Good conflict management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • CIPD Qualified (or similar international qualification) or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • We'd love it if you also had:
  • Experience working within the music, tech or media industry, although certainly not essential
  • Experience of HR systems (Workday)
