Full Job Description

We are looking for a special individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is flexible and able to work independently to take on the role of Senior Pharmacy Assistant in Cancer Services in the brand new Dyson Cancer Centre, which opened in April 2024.

You will undertake a complex range of duties, planning your own work with support from the rest of the team.

You will interact on a daily basis with patients, their carers and range of hospital staff, both face to face and by telephone.,

  • Main duties of the job

    To support the efficient day-to-day running of the Cancer Services pharmacy.

    Ensure that medication is safely supplied to Oncology/Haematology patients in a timely manner.

    To perform administrative duties in the Cancer Services pharmacy to ensure accurate data collection, record keeping, filing and archiving.

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated

  • Able to develop good working relationships

  • Good IT and keyboard skills

  • Flexible approach

  • Good attention to detail

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent
