Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable person to join the pharmacy homecare team based at Aintree Hospital. We welcome applications from candidates meeting the essential criteria for this position. You must be organised, flexible, have an eye for detail and have excellent communication skills.
The homecare team manages prescriptions for specialist medicines from 25 different teams in Liverpool University Hospitals. We can offer full training in this specialist area of pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
Based at Aintree hospital the homecare team manage prescriptions for specialist medicines from clinical teams based at all sites at LUHFT and the Walton Centre.
The homecare team process invoices received from homecare providers ensuring that accurate records are kept and payments are made through the hospital finance team to the homecare providers.
The homecare team answer queries received from patients, clinical teams and homecare providers helping to ensure that medicines supplied by homecare delivery are safe, effective and that the patient is supplied with them as requested by their specialist.
