RESPECT - COMPASSION - TEAMWORK - PROFESSIONALISM, The post holder will work under the supervision of a Medicines Management Technicians and Pharmacists. Your main duties will be working on wards carrying out near bedside dispensing , patient interview and counselling for discharge. In addition the ward based teams are heavily involved in the governance of medicines through out regular cycle of audits.

With the current and future landscape for pharmacy professionals we have aligned our clinical pharmacy strategy to develop a pharmacy team that can function and excel in balancing patient care and service demand with their own professional development.
We are very supportive of pharmacy professionals putting forward their own ideas for service improvements and are committed to developing a strong Quality Improvement ethos., You must have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to show you are self motivated and flexible in your approach to your work to meet the requirements for our developing service.
You are expected to work within key performance indicators as part of the service provision and show that you can work on your own initiative with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, Nursing staff, Medical staff and other healthcare professionals in line with the Trust values.
To support both our ward based services and dispensary we use automation through our ROWA robot and automated storage cabinets at ward level. The Pharmacy utilises aspects of our EMIS/Ascribe system to automate ordering and checking wherever possible.
To support your development, local training will be provided on medicines management to the successful candidates and your development needs will be identified through an annual individual performance development review.
