What you need, Senior Pharmacy Technician: Full time - 40 hours per week
+ Support Pharmacy Managers and Lead Technicians in the daily operations of the pharmacy.
+ Dispense and accuracy check prescription medicines accurately and in compliance with departmental policies.
+ Supervise and mentor pharmacy assistants, trainees, and other staff.
+ Provide specialised counselling on medicines to outpatients.
+ Maintain accurate Controlled Drug records and address discrepancies promptly.
+ Support the maintenance of the departmental Wholesaler Dealers Authorisation.
+ Process stock requests and place orders, including for complex aseptic products and specialist medicines.
+ Address complex queries and supply issues, escalating as necessary.
+ Participate in general pharmacy duties Monday to Friday, with weekend and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

+ Qualifications: A valid Pharmacy Technician qualification, GPhC registration and valid current ACT certificate.
+ Skills: Strong communication and organisational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in IT.
+ Flexibility: Adaptable to changing situations, with the capability to handle queries and issues promptly, escalating when necessary.

This post will be based across both our Liverpool and Wirral sites.
You must be a qualified Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration, and must hold a valid and current Accuracy Checking Technician certificate. You should ideally have at least 1 year post qualification experience.

This role requires an appropriate Level 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification AND registration with the GPhC, AND a valid ACT certificate.

Salary information: initial starting point £32,808 per annum pro rata moving to £37,021 per annum pro rata (upon one years' service and successful PADR and completion of mandatory training).
