Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our specialist amputee rehabilitation service at the Freeman Hospital.

The successful applicants will be part of the amputee rehabilitation service at Freeman hospital.

The postholders will be involved in the delivery of specialist amputee Physiotherapy throughout the patient journey; involving pre-amputation assessments, ward based acute post- surgical rehabilitation, discharge planning, and out- patient rehabilitation with progression to limb wearing where appropriate. The service supports all of the Newcastle amputee patients, in addition to more complex patients from around the region.

You will be supported by Band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapists working within the Amputee Rehabilitation Centre itself, together with MDT colleagues and ward based therapy teams., Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the busiest, largest and most successful teaching NHS foundation trusts in the country, with around 16,000 staff and an annual income of £1 billion.
