Full Job Description

You will support the team by providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for patients who have complex physical and psychological needs. As well as leading groups and initiatives on the wards to promote understanding and engagement in Physical Health Agendas.
You will work as part of a friendly multi-disciplinary team comprising nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, doctors, social workers, and other Allied Health Professionals.
There is a strong health promotion ethos, with a great emphasis on improving our patients' physical health.
You will develop different health promotion and exercise opportunities with support from the Health & Wellbeing Support Worker.
Ideal candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking, work effectively in a wide MDT, and possess excellent communication skills. The post-holder must be committed to professional development through support, training and supervision, which will be essential due to the evolving nature of this service. You will be HCPC registered and have experience working across a broad range of health settings in a range of specialties.
There will be ample opportunity to utilise and further develop your expertise and skills whilst treating patients with a wide range of both physical and mental health conditions. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated physiotherapist to work in the Bolton inpatient division of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The band 6 post is full time (37.5 hours per week).
You will provide physiotherapy across the inpatient unit. Rivington inpatient unit has 48 beds encompassing two adult of working age wards and one psychiatric intensive care unit., Applicants are encouraged to apply for posts at Greater Manchester Mental Health who have direct experience of mental health, learning disability or drug and alcohol services either as a service user or a carer., If you are offered a role with us and you require sponsorship, we will check your eligibility in line with the information on the above website.
