Full Job Description

We have a part-time position (22.5 hours per week) available for a Senior Physiotherapist in our high-functioning and very welcoming team within the Community Rehabilitation and Falls service, based at Bulwell Riverside.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of postgraduate experience, including the assessment and treatment of frail patients in community settings.

However, we are also happy to consider applications from candidates with more limited postgraduate experience, to start at Band 5 level and develop competencies to progress to Band 6.

Please make clear on your application form if you are willing to consider this as a developmental role.

As this is a community role, you must be a car driver with access to your own vehicle for work purposes.

Main duties of the job

If successful in your application for this post, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Assistant Practitioners, covering a broad caseload of patients with a variety of clinical conditions.

The majority of patients are frail, housebound, and may be at risk of or experiencing falls, although some may also be working on returning to outdoor mobility after an acute illness or fracture. Physiotherapy intervention is therefore focused on improving mobility, strength, balance and functional independence through the use of mobility aids and other equipment, and exercise programmes including falls prevention classes.

You would also be assessing and treating patients with specific physiotherapy problems such as musculoskeletal disorders, who are unable to attend a clinic-based physiotherapy service due to mobility limitations.
