Full Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our team!

You will support with leading, planning, and co-ordinating the delivery and evaluation of inpatient rehabilitation care and will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist physiotherapy intervention to patients as part of the, assessing and treating your own caseload of patients, some who may have a complex presentation, as an autonomous practitioner.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic to undertake evidence-based projects, including recommendations for change in practice and service development and participate in research and audit.

You will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the work of the team. You will influence clinical decisions, deputise as required for the therapy lead, support and educate students and junior colleagues and keep up to date in your own clinical knowledge relevant to own field of practice, underpinned by theory and evidence.

Main duties of the job

To undertake skilled assessment using advanced clinical reasoning skills and a variety of assessment techniques to provide accurate diagnosis.

Manage own caseload, using highly specialist knowledge and skills as an autonomous practitioner, including maintenance of comprehensive records.

To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable as an autonomous practitioner for all aspects of your own professional activities, to carry a clinical caseload of patients for whom you are responsible.

To keep up to date with evidence base, current national and developments and utilise this knowledge and best practice.

To maintain a high-level clinical skill set within the team to ensure high quality and compassionate care for all patients.

To ensure all care delivered empowers patients to recover their independence at the earliest opportunity.
