Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Locality Therapies team on the Isle of Wight.

This role requires flexible and innovative Physiotherapists to work within a Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Team rotating between three Localities. You will be asked to support the development of staff and support a step by step implementation of 7 day a week working. These and other transformations will promote greater accessibility to rehabilitation for the population of the Isle of Wight.

You will help increase function and promote independence through a range of therapeutic interventions in a variety of settings including in a person's home. With opportunity to share your previous knowledge and partake in the sharing of up-to-date evidence-based practice research, peer support, local training, national conference and training attendance.

Main duties of the job

Independently perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations, complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

You will hold responsibility for your own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. Supervision taking the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences. Access to advice and support from colleagues will be available if required.

Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.

Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team's clinical practice within each rotation. Make recommendations to Team Lead/Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for changes to practice.
