Full Job Description
We are looking foran enthusiastic and forward thinking Senior Physiotherapist in Critical Care. This post provides the opportunity to work together with other therapists to deliver advanced assessments & treatments to patients to improve patient care.
Our CCU is a regional trauma centre including trauma, surgical, medical, neurosurgical and spinal cord injury and lends itself naturally to innovative ways of working. It is supported by an experienced team which includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy technicians. The Critical Care therapy team work as part of a wider, dedicated multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to help build further clinical expertise to enhance and broaden respiratory and rehabilitation skills., This experience will give the post holder an excellent opportunity to develop their leadership and management skills as well as building clinical expertise that will enhance and broaden their clinical skills. Supervision will be provided by the Band 7 Therapists and Principal Therapists and continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.
The University Hospital of North Midlands is located on 2 hospital sites, Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital. This post is based at Royal Stoke University Hospital in particular and involves working within a 7 day shift system which will include weekend, late shift, Bank Holiday and on call working.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate relevant experience and have a sound understanding of conditions affecting this patient group.
