Then this position with Ashford & St Peter's will be for you!
You will be part of a pioneering service that has recently expanded their clinics into 3 state-of-the-art gyms at River Bourne, Woking Leisure Centre and Egham Orbit. Our ethos is to bring rehabilitation into the community and to promote holistic patient care through exercise and education for long term self-management, with potential working from home opportunities for virtual clinics.
We offer a variety of 6 monthly rotations such as lower limb, upper limb, spinal and pain with mentors to support in these areas. You will have the opportunity to work from both our gym and hospital bases, with flexibility required depending on the service needs.
You will have the opportunity to manage a varied caseload compromising of ACP, GP, Orthopaedic and FCP referrals through our streamlined triage processes.
You will be supported with weekly supervision, in-service training and access to joint sessions with B7 and ACPs, plus benefiting from the Trust's wellbeing initiatives.
Despite the team being spread across different sites we regularly organise external events, so you can get to know the socially vibrant team!
We welcome applications from existing band 5 Physiotherapists looking to take a step up in their career or Band 6 applicants looking for a new challenge, to join our friendly team of MSK therapists., + To communicate any changes in care plan or treatment approach to other physiotherapists or MDT colleagues. To use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes.
+ To be able to communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers and other staff relating to their rehabilitation potential and gaining consent for treatment. To maintain accurate records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust and service standards and policies.
+ To be able to manage potentially stressful, upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner.
+ To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients using analytical skills, seeking guidance from senior staff as needed. Devise individualised physiotherapy management and / or treatment plans, using clinical reasoning skills, evaluating the outcomes of your interventions. Then use a range of treatment/ management options in formulating programmes of care.
+ To be responsible for and actively record your own personal development.
To supervise Band 5 physiotherapist and physiotherapy assistants and to participate in the appraisal scheme as an appraisee.
+ To monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others. To be competent with lone working when appropriate with patients remotely and have awareness of when clinical support is required.

Successful candidates need to hold a BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy and be HCPC registered.
Candidates will have a proven history of providing patient-centred care within physiotherapy service. It is important for candidates to be able to communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in a patients care both those from within the organisation and those outside to ensure effective multidisciplinary working, while maintaining accurate patient records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust and service standards and policies.
To ensure timely and effective communication with the clinical/therapy leads and senior staff on all professional matters.
There is a need to attend staff meetings and actively participate ensuring understanding of information imparted. Additionally, to engage within the departmental objectives to progress the physiotherapy service. To work under the supervision of a clinical specialist physiotherapists to apply clinical skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation in line with the iMSK pathways.
