Full Job Description

As a Civils Senior Planner, you'll be working within the Nuclear Major Projects team, supporting in a major energy project delivering nuclear grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure on one of the UK's largest projects. Working initially on a project through to completion, then working on further nuclear projects within our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks business unit. The works are centred around large scale reinforced concrete construction and experience in this area is essential, along with extensive management of change and impact programme creation in the NEC contract environment. Your day to day as a Civils Senior Planner will include:

  • Lead the planning to deliver an NEC Option C contract to build a reinforced concrete frame building.
  • Produce programmes for acceptance, impact programmes, weekly lookaheads, project controls dashboards, reports, and programme narratives.
  • Analyse project metrics, in particular rates of work to ensure key programme dates can be tracked with accuracy and displayed in project dashboards.
  • Support the commercial team to produce accurate forecasts to the end of project based on labour resource and materials forecasting.
  • Take ownership and contribute to planning, programme and risk from tender through to project completion.

    UK NEC contract based planning experience.
  • Must be experienced in civil engineering, reinforced concrete frame building techniques/methodologies.
  • Previous construction experience, across a wide range of engineering projects, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters.

    Contract: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid working is an available option with site expectation at least 3 times a week.
  • Salary: Up to £80,000 depending on experience plus car allowance, subsistence package available for those not in the local region.
