Full Job Description

Kier Group are looking for a Senior Planner to join our Strategic Projects business to oversee a project in the Weybridge area. As a Senior Planner, you will be working across the Pre Construction & Construction Delivery Teams to offer planning expertise at across the full lifecycle of a project. The Senior Planner will retain an overall development & monitoring capacity to ensure construction plans are created, updated, and amended in line with project requirements. As a Senior Planner at Kier your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Producing fully integrated programmes incorporating all disciplines (i.e. design, commercial, construction) based on output rates & bench-marking, with sufficient time risk allowances, terminal float / buffer to contractual completions and agreement with trade packages and production & monitoring of tender event schedule (TES) / procurement schedule
  • Producing site logistics, scaffold schedules, temporary power & water requirements, temporary work schedules
  • Developing information for tender settlements including benchmarking
  • Reviewing subcontractor programme / logistics information including their compliance with contract conditions
  • Production of monthly client progressed programmes and any supportive narrative for review and approval by project leads prior to submission

    Have construction planning experience gained within the main contractor environment
  • You have a solid history of working on tenders and live projects
  • You are an experienced user of Asta Powerproject software and able to use Bluebeam (or similar) for take off's, logistic plans etc
  • You have strong knowledge of JCT & NEC contract conditions & can implement the requirements on project programmes
  • Experience in developing claims / CE's
