The team…

The Enforcement Team is a small, friendly and committed team of officers responsible for investigating and taking enforcement action relating to planning control breaches, highway matters and environmental crime issues.

About the role….

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team. You will be responsible for leading on and investigating breaches of planning control and taking a wide range of enforcement action where necessary, as well as supporting enforcement staff with their planning enforcement workload.

You must have a degree in planning or a related subject, or a proven equivalent level of technical and organisational knowledge in Planning Enforcement and at least 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above including Maths & English, or equivalent).

It is expected that you have and can demonstrate your significant experience of working on complex and controversial Planning Enforcement cases, including your experiences and level of success in using the wide range of enforcement tools and dealing with appeals, hearings or public inquiries.

You will have a strong customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement and evidence of continuing professional development.

You will be competent in using relevant IT systems such as Idox Uniform, GIS and Microsoft Office products and have a full driving licence.

You'll be paid a competitive salary £42,403 - £45,441 pa
