Job Title: Senior Planning, Monitoring and Control professional
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: From £40,748 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform intermediate project reporting & scheduling whilst owning and developing an engineering plan to meet levels 3 and 4 engineering demand within the programme
- Lead the Project Management and Controls processes on a small non-complex project or a work package of a larger project
- Manage the Project Management and Controls processes using the full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time the needs of customers/users continue to be met
- Identify, assess and manage any risks to meet the success of the project. With this, you will apply appropriate methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
- Agree on suitable Project Controls approach with stakeholders and prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans)
- Consolidate your expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives
- Support and promote the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation
Your skills and experiences:
- Be able to perform intermediate project reporting & scheduling in primavera P6 /MS projects
- Be able to undertake intermediate problem solving typically based on previous experience
- Have experience in stakeholder management and cross functional communication
- Hold experience within an engineering planning discipline
- Have a good understanding of planning, Monitoring and control processes

By joining us in this role, you would be joining an extremely motivated and hardworking team. This role provides an opportunity to progress your planning career with us whilst working closely with the wider planning team who are responsible for the delivery of engineering outputs and engineering change. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
