Full Job Description
We are looking for a new Senior Play Leader for our Before & After School Club to continue to run our fantastic club based from, You'll be in complete control and manage your rota's, stock levels, menus - we want you to have as much control as you want for
your setting but with the wider support of the Childcare division that you will form part of.
You'll champion our Core Values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty throughout the play you deliver, and ensure the
wellbeing and happiness of children is always put first.
The technical bit - we need someone ideally who holds a Level 3 qualification in early years, play work or childcare provision,
with a paediatric first aid qualification, although we could support you to gain these qualifications if required.
Depending on what you want, we are also able to offer further career and job progression as we are rapidly expanding so we are
happy to support your career development or support you in the role you are currently in.
This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service. We

You will be an energetic, passionate individual who loves children, loves playing and creating games and activities to give them
an enjoyable experience.
You will have previous experience of running a similar childcare setting or have other experience working with children which
would be transferrable.
You will plan and deliver exceptional play activities, inspiring your team to ensure our programme maintains high standards of
play through a fun, safe and positive programme of activities.
You will have brilliant communication skills and you will have an excellent rapport with parents and carers, children, colleagues,

Working on an annualised, term time only contract basis, we are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Senior Play Leader to run our
wrap-around school club.
Working 23 hours per week in term time, your working week will look like:
Term Time: 7.30am - 9am and 2.45pm - 6pm Monday - Friday
We can also offer additional hours during the school holidays working at our summer holiday club, Camp Williams if you are
available and wish to work in the school holidays too.
