Full Job Description

As a Barclays Senior Programme Management Office (PMO), you'll manage Execution Risk effectively, deliver on our Group Strategy, delivering our initiatives consistently and transparently and ensure initiative delivery is managed in line with the relevant Change Delivery Management Policies and Standards, using standard processes and tooling to improve the level and likelihood of successful outcomes. You will work with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring they have the information they need to make the right decisions in a timely manner., At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

  • Being responsible for maintaining and managing workstream documentation, facilitating key initiative governance fora, reinforcing the accountabilities of key stakeholders

  • Taking responsibility for ensuring decisions are made by the right people and based on the correct information

  • Supporting the the Programme Management Office and Project Managers in tracking outcomes, ensuring planned outputs deliver the agreed outcomes and the outcomes remain relevant

  • Driving best practice delivery in line with the relevant Policies and Standards through coaching and educating delivery teams on what good looks like

  • Monitoring and driving improvement in data quality and timeliness of reporting to enable decision making; reviewing and challenging reports to ensure they are complete and accurate

  • Supporting environment of effective delivery by challenging behaviours; identifying development needs in the team; ensuring the right tools, templates and guidance are used

  • Providing constructive challenge to Programmes and Projects, not only providing the information initiatives need to make the right decisions, but helping initiative leads to pre-empt any issues

  • Building trusted relationships with a network of key stakeholders that help influence project outcomes, acting as an advocate for the change and joining up executives and delivery teams, Our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.   • You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
