The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable., 1. You will work as an autonomous practitioner, being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including management of all service users in your care.
2. To make appropriate judgements on and be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of podiatric care of your patient caseload. These will predominately be service users with complex medical and clinical needs including:
+ MSK Podiatry
+ Diabetes
+ Chronic neuropathy
+ Chronic disease
+ Rheumatoid arthritis
+ Vascular insufficiency
+ Wound management/tissue viability
+ Terminally ill service users
3. Care will be provided in a range of primary and secondary care settings, the majority of which will be in isolation, without the support of podiatry colleagues, working as a single handed practitioner. Supervision will be largely self driven through attendance at departmental briefings and supervision meetings and through seeking the advice of peers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Podiatrist with a keen interest in developing their wound care knowledge and skills as part of highly skilled and experiences foot ulcer team within the East area of BCUHB. The post will primarily be within wound care but will also be working independently in both community and acute settings, providing a high standard of quality clinical care.
The successful candidate will be fully supported by a team of highly skilled and experiences wound care podiatrists and work withing joint vascular team clinics and other MDT elements. We also fully support post grad training and qualifications linked to the role.
