Full Job Description

As the Senior Policy Manager for Teacher & Leader Professional Development, you will support national policy-making and reforms surrounding education.

Specifically, you will champion evidence-based policies for teacher and leader professional development, ensuring that national reforms are grounded in high-quality research.

You will manage EEF's review of ECF (Early Careers Framework) provider materials and lead engagement with the Department for Education on professional development policies.

You will also:

- Align research and impact activities with policy priorities
- Act as an ambassador for the EEF at external events and with senior stakeholders
- Support the Executive Team and CEO through briefings and policy support
- Provide line management for a Policy Officer

- Experience working in education policy or a closely related field and a solid understanding of the English education landscape, especially around professional development
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex and changing delivery environments
- The ability to engage deeply with research evidence and interrogate findings
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to inform and influence various audience
- Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with policymakers and stakeholders
- To be educated to degree level in a relevant field (or equivalent)

We are now looking for a Senior Policy Manager for Teacher & Leader Professional Development to join us on a full-time, six month fixed-term contract to cover a period of family leave. We will also consider part-time hours, from a minimum of 0.6 FTE and are open to secondments., Salary of £47,500 - £50,500 per annum (pro rata)
