Full Job Description

The Senior Portfolio Marketer helps connect our customers with our chemistry solution, Reaxys, by articulating compelling value propositions and messaging. The primary focus of the Senior Portfolio Marketer is customer-centric positioning to support the portfolio's commercial goals. These efforts drive the global persona-led go-to-market (GTM) strategy for both new and existing markets. This role works closely with the marketing acquisition team to drive demand generation and lead generation; with the marketing retention team to drive product adoption and customer retention; with sales enablement marketers to support new, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities; and with regional marketing teams to further differentiate local strategies and execution., Customer-centric Insights

  • Understand industry trends and thought leadership themes relevant to our audiences

  • Customer discovery work to understand what our prospects and customers do, use and value

  • Understand target personas (buyer, influencer, user), their job maps and needs

  • Understand customer buying journey

  • Segment customers and perform market sizing together with the business development team

  • Sharing knowledge with other teams on customer needs and value proposition

  • Understand competitive dynamics and market trends to drive competitive messaging


  • Value Proposition and Messaging
  • Create value proposition, product positioning and messaging content (value matrix) about portfolio-market fit

  • Create proof of value vs. competition

  • Collaborate on appropriate marketing activities to drive demand generation, lead generation, product adoption and customer retention


  • Go-to-Market Plan
  • Develop global marketing plan, and guide execution and adaptation

  • Guide and align digital marketing activities with acquisition, retention and regional teams

  • Understand relevant pipeline and influences funnel dynamics

  • Partner on packaging and pricing strategies

  • Support regional campaigns and events


  • Enablement of Sales and Others to tell the Story
  • Enable influencers/KOLs, analysts, press, communities and advocacy

  • Sales awareness on releases, collaterals, wins, competitive insights

  • Co-create customers' case studies with regional teams

  • Co-crafting effective sales collaterals for all sales stages (pitch decks, proposal templates, factsheets, customer workflows and use cases…)

    Deep understanding of customers and the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years of experience in customer success, customer engagement, marketing, or product teams.

  • Scientific or chemistry background is required; operational knowledge of chemistry solutions like Reaxys or SciFinder is preferred.

  • Strong strategic thinking and tactical execution abilities.

  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing performance data.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, based on respect, trust, empathy, and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent storytelling abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills (Clear, Authentic, Simple).

  • Results-driven and forward-looking, with a proven track record of achieving business results.

  • Broad marketing knowledge, with sufficient understanding of the different specialties within marketing.
