Full Job Description

Cheshire West and Chester Council's Family Help and Support Team sits within the Early Help and Prevention Service and delivers high quality services for local children and their families, including refugee families. The service ensures the right support is offered at the right time. We do this by ensuring the provision of an intensive, high quality, support, and advocacy intervention to families with multiple issues that secure better outcomes for children and promote positive and sustained change amongst families and communities across Cheshire West and Chester.
The vacancy is an opportunity for someone to join a strong performing team who focus on achieving the best outcomes for the families, children, and young people they work with.

The Senior Practice Lead will oversee the work of the Family Intervention Workers who play a key role in assessing the needs of children aged 0-19 and their families with complex and multiple needs. They deliver a package of interventions using the Team Around the Family process and are unique in the way we work towards sustained outcomes for families.

The Senior Practice lead will ensure that Family Intervention Workers play a lead role in advocating for families, ensuring they are signposted to effective support and empowering them to make informed decisions about their futures with clear management oversight and guidance.

The Early Help and Support thematic is unpinned by trauma informed approaches that are responsive to need and have an inclusive and partnership focus.
