Full Job Description
Derbyshire County Council Adult Care are seeking to recruit a full time permanent Senior Practitioner for the High Peak South Social Work Team.
The successful applicant will have substantial knowledge and experience of the statutory responsibilities in the implementation of The Care Act 2014. They will also have experience of working in accordance with the principles of The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
They will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager in providing effective leadership. This will include supporting and developing the team which comprises of Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners. Key responsibilities include supervising and supported less experienced colleagues , providing training and briefing session as needed . They will also lead on providing good quality peer supervision and pro actively improving professional standards by providing support.
They should have the ability to engage others in the ongoing changes and undertake other duties commensurate with the grade of this post . They will also manage complex cases and be able to demonstrate strength based approach whilst showing an awareness of the local resources and local authorities structures and procedures.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
