Full Job Description

The postholder will lead the establishment of the Tiger Team by establishing and delivering a clear work plan that is influenced by the ICB's response to the Primary Care Access Recovery Programme, local stakeholder input and the post holder's understanding of primary care. They will work in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders including, practices, Primary Care Networkss, Alliance Teams, Digital, Communications and other primary care providers (Dentists, Pharmacists and Optometrists).

The postholder will work closely with primary care and the wider leadership teams across the system. The post will play a crucial role in improving and transforming the use of available clinical systems and resources to optimise operational efficiency, support service transformation and reduce the burden on clinical time thus contributing to delivery of the Primary Care Access Recovery Programme and the ICS Health Inequalities Programme.

Priorities and focus for this role will bedeterminedby the ICBs Primary Care Commissioning Committee and with national ambitions/targets on driving digital utilisation and adoption. This is a high-profile role and is pivotal in delivering the Primary Care access challenge and ICS digital agenda.

The postholder will have four core functions:

1. The post holder will lead the formation of a multi-disciplinary 'Tiger Team',ethos within the MSE ICS to resolve existing primary care digital and wider system interoperability 'wicked problems'

2. Lead and champion a relationship management approach to ensure that a "strong primary care voice" is present during commissioning, procurement and roll-out of digital solutions., The role will be responsible for establishing the Tiger Team, ensuring all team members have clear remits and deliverables that align with ICB strategic ambitions. The post holder will be able draw upon their experience to influence not only the Tiger Team model but also the approach we take to implement this change.

The postholder will be a dynamic, motivated individual who is a self-starter, able to adapt to new strategies, ideas and ways of working as they enable delivery of the ICB ambitions. They will manage a team of staff and will be expected to lead and inspire the team to carry out a challenging work programme across a wide range of subject areas.

Whilst this post resides within the Digital and Data directorate it will have a joint reporting line into the Deputy Director of Primary Care Development to ensure that their work programme aligns with operational and strategic transformation priorities

4. The post holder will take a senior leadership role in identifying priorities and facilitating resolution of existing primary care digital problems to aid uptake and utlisation of available technology.
