Full Job Description

Are you an experienced internal auditor looking to lead a team that is recognised for the valuable contribution it makes to the organisation? If so, this is the role for you.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will have operational responsibility for managing and motivating a team of internal auditors. This is a wide-ranging role that includes working with internal stakeholders across all Council departments, schools, partner organisations and local authority trading companies.

You have a strong audit background and will be CCAB, CMIIA or CIA / QIAL (or equivalent) qualified and you enthusiastically promote internal audit practices and the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards. You also have experience of managing a complex workload and of dealing with conflicting and changing demands.
Relationship building with colleagues across the Council, including senior management and external stakeholders, is key and you will have the experience, confidence, and credibility to do this and to deputise for the Head of Internal Audit. Your excellent team management skills will be critical to delivering in this role.
Local Authority experience is desirable but not essential. We are looking for you to demonstrate how your previous experience, skills and knowledge can bring value to Enfield.
So, if you have an innate curiosity, keen attention to detail, excellent written and verbal skills and have the vision and experience we are looking for, we're keen to hear from you., Disability Confident
