Full Job Description

As a Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant at Colliers, you are primarily responsible for professional environmental services relating to transactional due diligence and property development. You will be required to have experience in managing and preparing Phase 1 and Phase 2 Reports, Remediation Strategies and Verification Reports. In addition, you will be required to set up internal and external consultants to prepare planning deliverables, such as liaising with our Flood team and sustainability teams, and appointing ecological surveys, acoustic surveys, air quality surveys, transport surveys, archaeological surveys, topographical surveys, and UXO surveys.

Bringing your technical expertise, you will evaluate a broad range of environmental risk factors and communicate findings, in succinct, commercial language tailored to Colliers clients, which include property investors, fund managers, high net worth individuals and developers. You will also act as an internal source of technical expertise to other areas of the business from new graduates up to Director level.

Working closely with the Technical Director and head of department to support this area of the business, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality of work whilst building and developing successful client relationships.,

  • Advising clients on environmental liabilities including land/groundwater contamination issues and other pertinent considerations for planning applications, such as sustainability, flooding, UXO, ecology etc.

  • Project management and liaising with clients, Colliers surveyors, site occupants, sub-contractors and regulators.

  • Site walkovers (driving required).

  • Site set up and supervision of Phase 2 Ground Investigations including project co-ordination and management of junior consultants and sub-contractors.

  • Writing and reviewing technical due diligence reports.

  • Writing and reviewing Phase 1 and 2 Ground Investigation Reports to support planning applications.

  • Providing a first-class level of service and advice to help maintain a network of clients and ensure repeat business.

  • Applying technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions bespoke to the clients needs.

  • Current understanding of relevant environmental regulations, legislation and assessment criteria.

  • Working with and supporting all business functions/service lines.
