Collaborating closely with colleagues across the organization in a matrix-environment to support bioanalysis and biomarker activities, you will develop and validate LCMS based Biomarker Assays. Who you'll work with You will work alongside biomarker specialists in multiple diverse fields, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and represent BMAS as a Subject Matter Expert in project-facing environments. What you'll do
- You will employ your proven expertise to develop LCMS targeted proteomics assays in the laboratory and deliver high-quality fit-for-purpose pre-clinical and clinical biomarker assays.
- Represent PM as subject matter expert co-ordinating with CROs (Contract Research Organisation) to transfer and deliver key assays to clinical deadlines.
- Liaise efficiently with internal and external stakeholders to optimize experimental design, troubleshoot technical challenges, conduct sample analysis, data interpretation and report generation and communicate results to key project stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Work transversally with other leaders and stakeholders to establish the strategy, implementation and incorporation of LCMS based targeted proteomics technologies across the drug discovery pipeline.
- Maintain an awareness of new and emerging techniques and tools relevant to the field to ensure the group remains state of the art.
- Represent and align with the objectives of Precision Medicine internally and externally in matters relevant to biomarkers and bioanalysis
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

- Practical experience of maintaining and troubleshooting analytical flow and low flow LC and/or mass spectrometers and of independently resolving technical issues.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing quantitative and reproducible proteomics data sets for biomarker quantification.
- Excellent working knowledge of analytical software packages (XCalibur, Analyst, Skyline, thermo proteome discoverer).
- Practical experience in using high resolution mass spectrometry instrumentation. (HRMS)
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail essential, alongside enthusiasm to develop clear workflows and traceable reporting.
- Clear understanding of the concepts of "context of use" (linking assay requirements to the usage of the data generated)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and flexibly in a dynamic laboratory environment to meet project timelines with minimal supervision
- Adaptable to changing project and organizational priorities and consistently aligned with departmental needs.
- Good written and oral communication skills. Are you ready to 'go beyond' to create value and make your mark for patients? If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you!
