You'll collaborate with our Facilities Management team to create innovative security strategies, investigate breaches and create risk assessment plans for the future. Privacy and Trust team operate the world's leading security, privacy, and safety program to protect users, continuously improve the security and privacy of Google devices and ensure users are confident and our products are safe and trustworthy. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful.   • Conduct technical and quantitative analysis to drive scalable, efficient, and data-driven privacy decision-making.
  • Design, architect, and lead implementation of privacy-enhancing solutions alongside Engineering teams.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessment of a single product component, and determine how to bridge between data regulations, governance and practical engineering practices, policy practices.
  • Post launch support in the form of privacy subject matter analysis for incidents and vulnerability reports (and incident coordination).
  • Develop standards/frameworks aligned to Google-wide policy, relevant laws and regulations, external commitments and customer expectations.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in a privacy related field (e.g., security engineering, data engineering, data scientist, compliance engineering, etc.).
  • 1 year of experience designing solutions for technological problems that maintain the privacy posture of the organization, leading teams across multiple workstreams.
  • 1 year of experience leading the application of privacy technologies (e.g., differential privacy, automated access management solutions, etc.) to solve technical and data management problems, customizing existing solutions and frameworks to meet user needs.
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in privacy testing in wearables or mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of health related privacy designs in wearables or mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of common regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Familiarity with mobile and Android OS and app development.
  • Understanding of privacy principles, and a passion for keeping people and their data safe.
