Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced privacy lawyer to become a member of the Firm's Privacy Office who is the trusted advisor to the Firm's practice groups and business services teams on data protection compliance matters. The Privacy Lawyer will support the Firm by providing advice and guidance on the Firm's data protection obligations globally, as well as contributing to the delivery of compliance projects, drafting of templates, data protection impact assessments and training.,

  • Assist the Global DPO deliver on compliance priorities, projects and initiatives

  • Review, prepare and provide advice on data protection agreements, including where required, standard contractual clauses, transfer impact assessments and associated documentation

  • Work closely with the Privacy Operations team on a variety of privacy operational workstreams (e.g. data subject access requests, data incidents, Data Protection Impact Assessments)

  • Support the Legal Department's provision of advice to lawyers within the Firm's practice groups in relation to the Firm's data protection obligations globally

  • Keep abreast of privacy law developments and practice in the UK and EU and within those jurisdictions where the Firm operates

    Qualified lawyer in England & Wales (or another common law or European jurisdiction) with experience in-house or in private practice in the UK.

  • Candidates must have a number of years post qualification experience.

  • Demonstrable experience advising on data protection matters across a global organisation.
