Full Job Description
We are looking for a leader to join our growing Global Privacy Team who aspires to shape the future of personalized marketing for healthier more vibrant lives. The ideal person is passionate about consumers right to privacy and about using data to create more meaningful and personalized consumer experiences in a compliant and respectful way. The right candidate could have a legal or technology background with experience in privacy compliance advising on marketing and ad tech matters, , or come from a media or marketing organization with experience in Ad tech and data driven marketing capabilities. Strong understanding of both global privacy laws and of marketing capabilities, processes, programs, and services that leverage data are required. Senior Privacy Manager, Marketing & Ad Tech will report into the Enterprise Privacy function and will be partnering with global business teams including digital marketing, technology, data science and digital analytics. . They will use business acumen, understanding of media and marketing technology and privacy requirements to design and implement efficient processes for global ad tech and data-driven marketing at Kenvue. They will actively engage in training and supporting regional / local privacy teams to efficiently leverage and activate data-driven marketing and ad tech projects at global, regional and local level. Senior Privacy Manager, Marketing & Ad Tech will have strong collaborative partnerships with multiple other functions: Marketing, Consumer & Business Intelligence, Procurement, Technology & Data, Cyber, Law Department, and various suppliers. Major Responsibilities:
- Lead the support on key ad tech initiatives on a global level, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to implement an agile, harmonized (where possible), risk-based approach.
- Partner with key stakeholders on the development and maintenance of data-driven marketing privacy materials.
- Closely partner with business owners in review of data flows and transfer mechanisms in order to establish program requirements at a global level. For example, maintain records of processing activities and data protection impact assessments for global ad tech projects.
- Proactively engage regional/local project teams and share necessary privacy considerations or strategy on key digital projects and ad tech related privacy matters, including website privacy compliance/cookie compliance.
- Collaborate with global media and data driven marketing capabilities leads to establish media governance privacy processes and third party privacy due diligence.
- Regularly develop resources and targeted topical training content to educate and train Privacy Team and business stakeholders on ad tech privacy and impacts of latest innovations and external developments.
- Continuously monitor external developments related to ad tech and privacy, and communicate pro-actively tokey internal stakeholders with a goal of shaping and understanding the impact of the privacy related changes on Kenvue and recommending action where relevant.
- Develop and share standardized, global resources on global ad tech privacy support framework for business stakeholders, functions and privacy team, adopting simplified language to enhance understanding by target audience and leveraging visualization to augment understanding.
- Contribute to relevant industry groups active in the privacy space, e.g. WFA, CGPC.
- Provide relevant ad tech related input to support litigation claims and other administrative proceedings involving ad tech privacy matters
What we are looking for - A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 6 years of privacy compliance and digital marketing experience
- Strong business acumen and comprehensive understanding of regulations impacting digital and privacy, the enforcement trends and how they apply to digital marketing and ad tech activities.
- The ability to understand technical aspects of product and technology changes across industry service providers and ability to proactively explain the privacy impact to Kenvue internal stakeholders.
- Experience in creating training materials and leading training sessions, both in the privacy space, but also in the ways in which a marketing organization can and does use data, personallyidentifiable information, and targeted marketing
- Prior experience comprehending and interpreting data flows, and legal documents is required.
- This position will require the ability to deal with ambiguity and demonstrate strong organizational, process and interpersonal skills in a complex matrixed environment.
- Ability to work well between functions, across all levels of the business and diverse geographies.
- The successful individual must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to influence, articulate, and the collaborative "soft skills" to lead and facilitate discussions across functional teams and complex situations to develop solutions to ensure compliance.
- This position will require a highly analytical individual, with a practical approach and a strong business acumen. In addition, strategic thinking & problem-solving skills are a must to assist business partners to navigate rapidly evolving marketing and advertising technology matters. Preferred Requirements/Competencies
- An advanced degree related to data privacy, analytics, law, or a relevant field would be preferred.
- A current International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certification is preferred.
