Full Job Description

The Senior Client Sourcing Lead role sits within our Integral Sourcing and Procurement Team, reporting into the Head of Procurement and business partnering the Head of Corporate Business.

The principal purpose of the role is to work in conjunction with the Corporate Accounts and Operations Teams to develop procurement strategies that deliver optimal solutions across a wide range of Corporate Sector clients. The key to success in this role is to build strong collaborative partnerships with these teams and truly business partner them across all aspects of strategic procurement and client service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Procurement Business Partner to the Head of Corporate Business, working with their Account Directors and Operations Teams to develop optimal procurement strategies across a range of Corporate Client contracts.


  • Working with the Account Directors, Contract Managers and Commercial Directors to understand the commercial models, contractual requirements and obligations across allocated Client accounts.


  • Ensure the Client's needs are understood and balanced against our defined Sourcing and Procurement strategy.


  • Assess Client supply chain solutions and ensure the optimal solution is implemented. Undertake Pareto analysis to develop informed sourcing strategies, utilising available data, category strategies and market insights.


  • Ensure the monthly compliance to our PSL is discussed at a contract level and actions taken where required to convert leakage and non-preferred spend. Use influencing skills to challenge any retained or legacy suppliers, with a continuous focus on rationalisation and alignment to our Preferred Supplier List (PSL). Working with the Category Management team to ensure all conversion opportunities to the PSL are maximised.


  • Develop Supplier compliance league tables across both Clients and Sectors to highlight non-compliance and work with the Accounts teams to convert these opportunities.


  • Deliver strategic negotiations at a contract level through bundling / consolidation opportunities to increase margin to Integral. Ensure contractor pricing is in line with rates that have been negotiated at a central level.


  • Accountable for cost saving initiatives and working together with the contract managers to achieve our yearly targets. Ensure savings are signed off at a contract level and recorded centrally to meet the annual target.


  • Lead the monthly Divisional Procurement Forums attended by the Operations Teams to discuss all relevant procurement topics including supplier performance, risks and issues.


  • Attend all relevant business meetings, including external meetings with Clients, and ensure alignment between Procurement and Operations.


  • Challenge make or buy decisions by developing a sound knowledge and understanding of Integrals self-delivery capability versus our subcontracting strategy, so that the optimal solution can be implemented.


  • Engage and build relationships with the operations teams working across the accounts and implement a Procurement Champions programme where they act as an extension of our team to drive best in class procurement solutions and best practice.


  • Lead the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) programme across allocated sector, working with the Category Management team to track and monitor Supplier performance and work with them to make improvements where necessary.


  • Work in alignment with the Category Management team to jointly lead SRM meetings with key partners and engage the accounts teams to participate.


  • Support the delivery of the Alliance Programme, an exclusive Supplier membership programme, and work with the Category Management team to convert non-preferred suppliers to the PSL. Facilitate discussions with the Accounts teams to challenge the use of non-preferred suppliers across Client accounts and present opportunities for conversion to our preferred Alliance partners to ensure we deliver our annual targets.


  • Support new business wins and help protect the win in relation to existing Client renewals & expansions. Procurement lead and core member of solutioning team, working with the Category Management and Estimating team to recommend Suppliers to participate in bids, collating quotes and building solutions.


  • Support the delivery of the Integral ESG / Diversity Strategies and Targets. Capture the Clients ESG targets and key focus areas so we can develop solutions to support their requirements.


  • Work closely with Health and Safety and ensure our subcontractors are following our H&S process and procedures.


  • Identify opportunities to develop and implement new policies and procedures, including rationalisation of legacy processes, continuously challenge leakage and non-conformance to preferred suppliers.


  • Develop presentations for use with internal and external stakeholders and/or teams as required.


  • Apply ethical company standards.


  • KEY EXPECTATIONS:
  • Build a strong collaborative partnership with the Head of Corporate Business and their respective Account Directors and Operations Teams, business partnering them across all aspects of strategic procurement and client service delivery.


  • Lead the development and execution of all Client sourcing requirements - executing RFPs/bids, negotiating contracts and ensuring effective transition to operations during implementation.


  • Ability to negotiate and has proven negotiation strategies within areas of responsible spend.


  • Work closely with Integral Category Management colleagues to keep them appraised of all procurement activities and developments across Client Accounts. Ensure any supply chain issues are escalated to the Category Management Team and work together on resolution.


  • Partner with functional leads across the business to drive both immediate and sustained benefits.


  • Bring strategic thought leadership to identify additional cost and operational efficiencies.


  • Proactively manage internal stakeholder expectations and escalate at appropriate times.


  • Deliver SRM and SPM programmes.


  • Support the delivery of the Alliance programme to meet annual targets.


  • Support new business wins and help protect the win in relation to existing Client renewals & expansions.


  • Support the Integral and JLL ESG and Diversity programmes, and ensure targets are reported and delivered.


  • Engage regularly with JLL's Procurement and Category Management teams to share best practice and knowledge, collaborate and leverage joint opportunities


  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence function and build data insights that can benefit the whole team


  • Subject matter expert for Procurement and main point of contact within Integral.

    Previous Experience:

  • Must have 7+ years relevant FM procurement related experience.


  • Ideally experience of managing and working in Hard Services or an Engineering discipline.


  • Delivering Client solutions and working with Accounts and Operations teams.


  • Education and skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree / Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain preferred.


  • Certifications:
  • Professional certification e.g., CIPS, CPM or evidence of continued professional growth e.g. Finance (ACCA, CIP, IMC); Business (MBA, master's in business or equivalent)


  • Targeted Competencies
  • Hard Services Procurement knowledge and experience is preferred, especially across the UK market.


  • Essential experience of client interfacing roles and working as a business partner to Accounts and Operational teams.


  • Essential experience of developing and implementing sourcing strategies.


  • Outstanding negotiation skills and experience of delivering cost negotiations, ideally gained from negotiating for multiple contracts and sectors.


  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments simultaneously, manage multiple or conflicting priorities, and handle a high-pressure working environment.


  • Outstanding client relationship management skills with great client focus.


  • Candidate must demonstrate personal impact and gravitas, with high velocity & speed of response and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.

  • Able to demonstrate experience in a broad range of key procurement skills including leadership, negotiation, influencing, project and change management and governance.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines, both under own accountability and as part of a team.


  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential)


  • Experience of working with CAFM systems and e-Sourcing tools is desired.


  • Strong analytical skills with excellent ability to work with large amounts of data and build reports and sourcing strategies.
