Full Job Description

Develop high impact innovative field solutions and services around cleaning, inspection and repair technologies through customer and stakeholder engagement with agile practices within the GE/CFM MRO network and for airline customers. This role involves taking solutions from concept to existence, with an approach of listening to internal/external pain points and envisioning, proactively iterating and delivering solution prototypes, in areas that support the identification and development of the product offerings for the business . Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial/operational and technical arrangements. Commercial judgement is required to achieve outcomes required.,

  • Use innovation management techniques to produce market insights and robust problem definition.
  • Mature Airside products or services lifecycle from ideation to launch, with agile methods. Taking solutions from concept to existence.
  • Envisioning and building, proactively iterate on and deliver solution prototypes.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to align products & services with market needs and business goals.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Drive customer-centric innovation and market research to guide product/services enhancements, by understanding key customer technical challenges and requirements.
  • Apply industry insights and data analysis to position products & services and inform strategy
  • Exploring and advising on emerging trends, and running technical experiments.
  • Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

    Experience in executing innovative product development with a focus on agile and customer-centric methods.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 2+ years of experience in aviation product management, maintenance services, or equivalent (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 2+ years of experience in aviation product management, maintenance services, or equivalent).
  • Desired Characteristics
  • Broad and deep understanding of the following is a must: airline maintenance, airside on-wing/near-wing operations, technologies, and processes
  • Airline maintenance, On-wing support or field service engineering experience.
