Full Job Description

To supervise and work with other team members on daily routines in support for production needs, including chemical handling and receipts, intake and removal of carbon and resigns.,

  • To be aware of, and maintain plant and equipment to the required safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards, through liaison with the Production Services Attendants, Maintenance Technicians and Hygiene & Process Services Manager as necessary.

  • To "own" safety systems such as TBRAs to co-ordinate and issue appropriate safety documentation to suppliers, contractors such as Permit to Work, and to participate and lead the Safety forum with the Hygiene and process manager.

  • To supervise suppliers and contractors on site and ensure that they follow safe working procedures at all times.

  • To ensure the appropriate and efficient deployment of staff at all times

  • To manage the departmental absence including holiday booking and attendance recording

  • To monitor and maintain stocks of chemicals etc and supervise the receipt of chemical and other deliveries, treat as required and to store for appropriate usage, record data on logs and into SAP.

  • To supervise and/or perform plant remedial works. E.g., jetting, confined space cleaning of vessels, bund/sump clearances via vacuum tanker and routine changeover of plant equipment.

  • To supervise and/or facilitate bulk chemical transfers via road tankers to various vessels across site.

  • To supervise and/or perform tasks required for Decol Resin Transfer process i.e., prepare and take in new resin to W104 regenerator when necessary, treat resin as required to meet production requirements.

  • Carry out chemical treatments to plant equipment such as plate heaters when required by production team.

  • To maintain the plant area in a clean and tidy state.

  • To maintain clear and concise communications.

  • To possess a full knowledge and understanding of all process operations contained within the job through continuous development and training.

  • Good team worker and communicator.
